With a little strategy and a little luck, you can be a Sequence winner! Play a card from your hand and place a chip on the matching space on the gameboard. When you have 5 in a row, that s a Sequence! But watch out for the wild Jacks, use them to block your opponents and even remove their chips on your way to victory! 7 Years +

BRILLIANT FUN - We have had this game for years. We love it, it is better fun when you have more in the teams. It is our Sunday evening family get together after tea.Brilliant.

disappointing. Unnecessarily over-complicated and ultimately not really that much fun - Sequence can be played by either two players, two teams, three players or three teams. You are dealt a certain number of cards and then take turns to play these cards by putting a chip of their colour on one of the card images on the playing board. The aim of the game is to form one or two rows of five chips before the other players can - resulting in a sequence . This is kind of like Othello/Reversi and Connect Four.We found the game slightly tedious to play. Unnecessarily over-complicated and ultimately not really that much fun. I d recommend getting a pack of cards AND a game of Connect Four, rather than this mish-mash concoction.

great for family bonding - A really easy to play family game. Enjoyable easy to understand rules build tension and intrigue as you get to the end!

Very Good - This games works, in fact, it works so well it silenced 4 usually very talkative adults!I ve read some reviews that say this game lacks fun or excitement - but those reviews seem to be mainly from people who didn t play it as part of a team, we did and all agreed it worked well for each of us, although it got better after we d had a couple of practice goes.A plus point is that it is very easy and fast to learn, 2 packs of cards shuffled, 6 cards per player - each time 1 is laid down another is picked up to replace it so that all players always have 6 cards (unless someone forgets to pick up before the next player plays in which case they forfeit the advantage of the forgotten card and have to play with 5, or then 4 and so on.).The object is to get 2 rows of 5 counters on the board - that s as complicated as it gets but the positioning of counters is limited to only placing them in a space for which a player holds the corresponding card. Plus, frustration comes when opponents tactically block or remove one from the sequence you re building.(The reason I can t see this game working well on a one-one basis is the results would largely be down to whoever is lucky enough to pick up cards in close proximity to each other on the board - it would then become a simple game of chance not much more satisfying than Snap).Instead, when playing in teams it s not possible to know what cards your partner(s) holds as they are not allowed to sit next to you and you don t know what strategy they are employing and this adds a note of uncertainty, and therefore brings an enjoyable degree of tension. So the best thing to do is try to help your partner achieve what they seem to be aiming for... and hope you get it right!A word of caution, the game play does get competitive and the subsequent concentration can cause lengthy bouts of silence!

Reasonable game but there s better out there - Sequence is a board game where you take 2 packs of cards each of which has a place on the board and fill the places in turn with markers using cards you already have. The idea is to to make two continuous rows of 5 markers. Jacks have the ability to act as wildcards or to remove other markers to make the game more likely to finish. The game is played between either 2, 3 or any number divisible by 2 or 3 (you take it in turns with different hands to have your go). When you start playing it, the game is very slow and to be honest quite boring. As it gets further developed it improves a little and sometimes can actually be quite good. The problem though is in terms of long term appeal it just lacks a bit. From an educational value, you could only refer to the ability to spot sequences.. but then Connect 4 or similar is far easier for that.Long term appeal for this game is also very limiting... all in all, you re better off with just some playing cards and playing something else.
